Finnish Raute Corporation received an order for delivery of several plywood production facilities with the aggregate cost of €15 million from Sveza Group (Russia). The deliveries are scheduled for the second half of 2008. Sveza Group manages five plants producing plywood and particle boards. Its production capacity is 660,000 m3, which makes the company the biggest European birch plywood manufacturer.
The new production lines will be used to reorient the Novator plant (Vologda region) from 5x5 ft birch plywood for the domestic market to 5x10 ft composite birch plywood for export. The delivery set includes drying facilities, gluing equipment, pressing and laminating lines.
