ZOW Shanghai – Furniture industry suppliers to gather at the hub of the action
18/04/2006 - 09:29
The premiere of ZOW in Shanghai in the autumn of 2005 was a total success. With 130 exhibitors from 12 countries and 11,000 trade visitors, the first ZOW at Shanghai’s New International Expo Center (SNIEC) in China produced a first-class showcase event for the furniture and interior design industry. The next one on September 11-14 2006 promises to be an even greater attraction. As at this point in time, over 100 international businesses who supply to the furniture industry have already registered as exhibitors. Around 2,000 m² of net exhibition space is already sold with orders for a further 1,000 m² close to conclusion. More than 12,000 trade visitors are expected at this, the second ZOW held in China, which once again will run parallel to Furniture China.

A good 80% of visitors to ZOW in 2005 came from China, 10% from South East Asian, East Asia and Australia, while 5% were from Europe. As expected, a high proportion of trade visitors – 46% - were from senior management levels; marketing & sales were at 24%, with design and product development at 15%. ZOW brings together the decision-makers of the industry in a creative workshop setting – and China will be no exception to all the other international venues which host this unique trade show.
