The exhibition layout for ZOW 2007 – to be held in Pordenone from 17 to 20 October – is virtually complete: according to the organizers, only a few display areas are still available for companies who wish to exhibit. The overall exhibition area has increased yet again, and this year the show will extend, taking up the entire new Hall 9 in the Pordenone Fiere trade fair district.
“We have seen yet another rise in demand”, says Carlo Giobbi, Managing Director of Survey Marketing & Consulting srl, and of Business International, the company that runs ZOW Pordenone, “and this of course is particularly gratifying. We are doing all that we can to give as many companies in the sector as possible the chance to take part. On one hand, we are unable to meet the demands for more space, expressed by many exhibitors, but on the other hand, we are able to offer our international visitors a truly remarkable range of items, comprising highest-quality components, accessories and semi-finished products”.
ZOW is a markedly international event, and this has been the most distinctive characteristic of all the most recent exhibitions: 171 exhibitors from abroad from a total of 681, and over 4,800 professional visitors from more than 80 countries are figures that paint an eloquent portrait of the 2006 edition of the show. The ZOW “brand” has become an international circuit, covering markets of great interest to manufacturers (such as Germany, Spain, Russia and China, and, last but not least, the new event planned for 2008 in Turkey).
The international connotations of ZOW Pordenone are further confirmed by the fact that all the multinational companies that exhibited in the last edition will be present this year.
This year, “Material Connexion” will make a welcome return to ZOW 2007. The largest international “library” of innovative manufacturing materials and processes will present a collection of proposals, just a sample from the largest available resource on innovative materials. From 1997 up until today, it has gathered over 2,000 products, accessible to companies in the archives of New York, Milan and Köln, in the form of a total of 3,400 samples. The materials classified come from all over the world. Every month, the library is augmented by 30-45 new materials, selected by an international jury and subdivided into eight categories (polymers, glass, ceramics, carbon-based products, cement-based products, metals, natural materials and their derivatives), while another separate category is dedicated to manufacturing processes. It thus represents a fruitful source of ideas, suggestions and stimuli for designers and technicians, offered, by ZOW Pordenone, to the attention both of exhibiting companies and for the professional furniture industry trade visitors who will be present at the show.
