Construction production amounted to SKK 16,7 billion in August. 7,7 % year-on-year increase was influenced by higher volume of repairs and maintenance works by 23,8 %, of new construction, modernization and reconstruction by 3,9 %. Construction production in terms of production specification that was realized in buildings increased 10,3 % and it declined in civil engineering works 1,4 %. Construction works abroad increased 25,5 % (they represented 4,2 % of the total volume of construction works).
Taking into account the seasonal influences, construction production rose 0,9 % in August compared to July.
Over the first eight months, construction production increased year-on-year 10,3 %, of which 24,1 % in repairs and maintenance works, 6,2 % in new construction, modernization and reconstruction. Construction works abroad rose 44,5 %.
Percentage of new construction, modernization and reconstruction decreased 2,1 p.p. to 81,8 % of the structure of domestic construction production, percentage of repairs and maintenance works increased 2,1 p.p. to 17,9 % of the structure of domestic construction production. |
